Shagufta, based in Ranchi, Jharkhand, works as a Communication Officer at PHIA. Holding a Postgraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi, she began her career with All India Radio and later worked as a Desk Editor for a Medical News Portal. Her passion for the development sector was ignited during her time at journalism school, where she explored various forms of development reporting. She entered the sector through a fellowship and subsequently worked with Fair Trade Forum India as a Communications and Advocacy Officer, supporting grassroots artisans. Outside her professional engagements, she loves traveling, mostly to spiritual places, exploring different cultures and cuisines. She’s an avid reader, particularly novels and Urdu poetry, She enjoys herself to Sufi music. Growing up around jheels and hills, she connects her home to nature.
