Rajeev Arun Ekka

Rajeev is a retired officer from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) from Jharkhand whose distinguished career journey reflects a deep commitment to public service and the welfare of marginalized communities. He has held prominent positions, including Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary across various departments in the Government of Jharkhand. He is known for introducing impactful reforms and initiatives in the state that have significantly and positively impacted Jharkhand’s society and economy.

A champion for the welfare of the marginalised communities he particularly leveraged his medical background to improve the impact of the health and welfare programs tailored to the needs of vulnerable populations. An avid advocate of inclusive governance, focusing on equity and justice for historically disadvantaged groups his tenure with the state Government of Jharkhand was marked by many initiatives for the communities to overcome these challenges.

Rajeev’s extensive experience in governance, combined with his passion for community empowerment, will provide invaluable guidance to PHIA. His leadership and insights are expected to strengthen the organization’s efforts on bridging the policy-practice gap, community resilience, and other interventions for marginalized communities.
