Co-designing and implementation of social behaviour change model for household water treatment storage (HWTS)
West Singhbhum-Khutpani Block, Khunti-Karra Block- Jharkhand
The project will target to reduce diarrhoea incidence by 10% in one year, the result will be compiled using pre and post-assessment evaluation in the project area. To implement the project in Khunti and West Singhbhum districts of Jharkhand, there are three pillars of intervention: Bolstering Capacities of stakeholders and supportive supervision to initiate action on a district-wide approach: This pillar will cover stakeholders from the entire district, who will be capacitated mobilizing master trainers in consultation with the district authority. Behaviour Change Campaign to alter norms and practices towards household water treatment storage: This pillar of intervention will also reach out to the shareholders spread across the district. Model Development- this pillar will mobilize the community cadre specifically 5 women in each of the selected villages, 250 women spread across 50 villages in Khunti and West Singhbhum. The women will be capacitated by utilizing simple and effective visual messages, empowered and handhold to drive collective actions. The following are the key objectives of this project:

- Co-design and implement demand-driven, community-managed drinking water systems, contributing to the reduction in diarrhoea incidences.
