    I have experienced a positive change in my attitude towards perceiving a sensitive subject like periods in women, now I can frankly discuss about periods even with my male counterparts without any hesitation or inner shame.

    Gender inequality starts from the basics, for instance the common phrases like ‘ladki jaisa kyun ro raha hai’. I pledge to change such practices in me and communicate the same to others. During Change Maker journey, I did an internship with Water Aid and contributed in their gender advocacy driven project.

    मेरे मन में पहले से यह विचार आते थे कि लैंगिक भेदभाव जिस तरह से समाज ने बनाया है, उसमें बदलाव की आवश्यकता है । लेकिन हमारा समाज इसे स्वीकार करने के पक्ष में नहीं है । लेकिन मैं Change Maker के रूप में “Gender Campaign, It’s Possible” कार्यक्रम का हिस्सा बनी, तो मुझे एक गर्व का अनुभव हुआ कि समाज की सोच बदलने हेतु समाज के ही लोग “Gender Campaign, It’s Possible” कार्यक्रम का नेतृत्व कर समाज में बदलाव लाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं । चेंजमेकर के रूप में मैंने खुद में परिवर्तन देखा कि पहले यह विचार मेरे मन में आते थे। मैं किसी के सामने लैंगिक भेदभाव से संबंधित बातों को खुलकर रख नहीं सकती थी। लेकिन It’s Possible कार्यक्रम में मुझे इन बातों को प्रस्तुत करने हेतु आत्मविश्वास बनाया और इन बातों को किसी के सामने भी समझाते हुए प्रस्तुत करती हूँ।

    चेंजमेकर की यात्रा पूर्ण होने के बाद मैने अपने आप में यह परिवर्तन देखा की हम ज्यादातर पितृसत्ता को ही आगे देखते हैं, पर ऐसा नहीं है I सभी जेंडर आधारित व्यक्ति कार्य करते हैं और अपने लेवल के आधार पर अपने सपने के लिए लड़ सकते हैं I लड़की हो या लड़का हो सभी एक ही है I सब अपने हिसाब से कार्य करते हैं और दोनो को समान रूप से देखना चाहिए I दोनो को उतनी ही छूट देना चाहिए जितना हम एक लड़के को देते हैं ।
